About Me
Well, let`s see I`ve started driving gravel trucks in 1986 with my dad at the City of Vancouver, then decided to go on my own. I bought a ford tractor off of Dave Whalley and worked with him and Jake Mills at Pacific Blasting hauling rock and demo trailers from 1992 till 1994. In `94 I started work with Russ Crawford at Big Bin Rentals and learned alot more about this industry and alittle about lowbeding, that`s where I met my good friend Ray Bolt. After 3 years of that I jumped ship and wanted to try something else, I went to Star Systems in Aldergrove and was there for roughly 3 years. During that time I found out I didn`t want nothing to do with lumber, but I learned lowbeding from some of the better bush lowbeders out there, like Jim Drenka, Allan Dick, Geoff Coltman and the late Chuck Gensick. All four had their own strenghts I could learn from, great memories. For the next few years I kind of bounced around between Best Bin hauling demo, hauling for Joe Bragg at Triton Transport doing local lowbed and even the late Tom Gourley who owned Bakerview. Darryl from Verrault Lowbed called me up one day for some work and I didn`t leave for almost two years. Now I`m living with my girlfriend Anita in Chilliwack, and I have replaced the old Kenworth with a newer Peterbilt longhood. When Anita and I have spare time we are either out cruising the valley on our bikes or in my old `68 Camaro, you have to enjoy life some how.
